Calling all those skilled with knitting needles and crochet hooks – take action to fight food poverty!

More knitting needed!!!

After the general election we will be sending as many newly-elected or re-elected MPs as possible a piece of knitted food – to let them know that folk around the country want politicians to act now to end hunger in the UK. We will be asking them to show their support by tweeting a picture of themselves with the woolly foodstuff.

At the last count we had over 388 individual knitted or crocheted food stuffs, so are over half way!!

We have been blow away by all the items that we have received but we need you to keep going! We need the yarn-talented among you to make as many carrots, cakes and Cornish pasties and anything else you can think of as possible and send them to us. (See the address below.)

Please could you send your contributions to us by Friday 17th January.

Please leave a strand of wool so that we can tie on a label or attach it to a ribbon to make bunting.
